Production is expected to include 50,000 copies in the first year. Due to delivery bottlenecks for the batteries, this is no longer possible. Most of the vehicles, around 30,000, are to be delivered to Europe.

Technical specifications

The vehicle is offered with two different batteries . The basic version has a 288 cell battery with a capacity of 75.7 kWh; there is also a 376 cell battery with a capacity of 98.8 kWh. This results in a range of 119 km after 10 minutes. Ford gives a warranty of eight years on the battery or a mileage of 100,000 miles in the USA  . The 75.7 kWh battery has 288 cells, the 98.8 kWh battery has 376 cells. The warranty is 8 years or 100,000 miles.

The drive module with thermal management system is supplied by BorgWarner .

The charging power for alternating current charges is 10.5 kW. This results in a range of 119 km after a charging time of 10 minutes. The FordPass app can be used to query the charge level, but the route can also be planned and passed on to the navigation device in the vehicle.

Furnishing

There are no longer any classic door handles. It is opened using the key, smartphone or a small keyboard in the B-pillar. There is a 25.9 cm monitor in the dashboard and a 39.4 cm touchscreen (similar to the Tesla Model S ) above the center console , with a special rotary knob incorporated here.

The Mach-E has an infrared-reflecting windshield, which reflects the infrared light waves and thus reduces heat in the car or more effort for the air conditioning and thus lower energy consumption. The rear trunk has a volume of 402 liters, with the rear seats folded down the load volume is 1420 liters. An additional frunk (front trunk = front trunk) has 100 liters. The front trunk, like the trunk of the Ford Puma, has a drain plug for water.

Racing vehicle

In July 2020, Ford Performance presented the Mustang Mach-E 1400 prototype together with RTR Vehicles . It is a racing car version with seven electric motors and an output of 1,043 kW (1,419 hp) and an ultra-high-performance battery with 56.8 kWh. At a speed of 257 km / h, the contact pressure on the rear axle is 1,000 kg. The car can be operated with rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive. The braking system was taken from the Mustang GT4 . It is planned to debut with the vehicle at a NASCAR race. The car is not produced in series like this.
