The Ford Model C Junior (or Ford Ten Junior ) was a lower middle class car produced by the British Ford Motor Company Ltd. manufactured from 1934 to 1937. From 1934 to 1936 the model was also built in Spain . The German version with a slightly different styling was the Ford Eifel .

The car had a side-controlled four - cylinder in - line engine with a displacement of 1,172 cc, which was developed from the 0.9-liter engine of the Model Y by enlarging the bore from 56.6 mm to 63.5 mm (2.5  inches ) was. The stroke of 92.5 mm remained the same. The engine, which was built until 1962, developed 30 bhp (22 kW) at 4,000 rpm and formed the basis for many tuners (including Lotus ). The rigid axles ( drawbar axles ) at the front and rear were suspended from thrust struts with a ball joint and transverse leaf springs. The design had changed little since the Model T. The cars were equipped with a three-speed transmission.

In addition to the two sedans with 2 or 4 doors, there was a 4-seater touring car , which is the rarest version that is in great demand today. There was also a luxury version, the CX , the trim parts were chrome-plated.

The car reached 110 km / h and consumed about 7 liters of gasoline / 100 km.

Successor from 1937 was the Ford Ten . 96,530 Ford Model C Junior were built in three years.
