It was designed by the new Kia chief designer Peter Schreyer , who had previously worked for Audi . The K9 concept was presented at the New York International Auto Show in 2012 as the Kia GT.
Quoris
The rear-wheel drive sedan was exported as the Kia Quoris from the fourth quarter of 2012, but the vehicle was not available in Central Europe. The Quoris has a parking aid and is the first Kia to have an adaptive cruise control . This system detects the road in front of the vehicle up to a distance of 174 meters. The lane change assistant detects vehicles approaching from behind at high speed and warns the driver up to a distance of 70 meters . The Quoris is available with the six-cylinder engine known from the K9 with 3.8 liters and 213 kW (290 hp) or with a 4.6-liter V8 engine. The power is transmitted by an eight- speed automatic transmission .
