The Kia Seltos is a compact SUV from the South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors and the brand's first model to be marketed in India .
history
A first preview of the vehicle was given at the Auto Expo with the Kia SP Concept in February 2018. Kia showed a further developed version of this concept vehicle at the Seoul Motor Show in March 2019 with the Signature Concept . The series vehicle was presented on June 20, 2019 in New Delhi . It first went on sale in India and South Korea in the summer of 2019 . The Seltos is produced in Gwangju, South Korea, and Anantapur, India . Kia presented the version for the North American market in November 2019 at the LA Auto Show .

The name of the five-seater is derived from "Celtos", the son of Hercules , from Greek mythology .
Technical specifications
In India, the Seltos is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 85 kW (116 hp) or a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 85 kW (116 hp). In South Korea there is a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 130 kW (177 hp) or a 1.6-liter diesel engine with 100 kW (136 hp) to choose from.
