The Kia XCeed is a crossover SUV from the South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors based on the Kia Ceed (CD) .

history

The vehicle was announced in February 2019. A first picture of the XCeed was published on June 5, 2019, and finally it was officially presented on June 26, 2019. The model came to dealers on September 21, 2019.

Since February 2020, the XCeed has also been available with the plug-in hybrid drive familiar from the Niro . The accumulator is located under the rear seat bench, which is why the trunk volume also drops from 426 to 291 liters.

technology

Technically, the crossover SUV is based on the third generation of the Ceed. The only common elements are the front doors. The headlights are designed differently, the bonnet is longer. At the rear, the XCeed is similar to the ProCeed.

Technical specifications

The vehicle uses the engine range known from the Ceed. Only the basic engine with 73 kW (99 PS) is not available. As in the Ceed, all-wheel drive is also not available.
