The Hyundai ix25 (also: Hyundai Creta or Hyundai Cantus ) is a compact SUV from the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai , which has been produced and sold since October 2014.

history
The five-seater, which is based on the Hyundai i20 , was shown to the public for the first time as a study at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2014. The production version was presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in August 2014.
The vehicle has been built and sold in India since July 2015 and has also been manufactured in Saint Petersburg for the Russian market since July 2016 . For Brazil , the vehicle was presented as Hyundai Creta in November 2016 and sales began in January 2017. For this market, it is manufactured in Piracicaba ( State of São Paulo ). The car will not be offered in Germany for the time being. In July 2017, the vehicle was revised for the Chinese market. In Brazil, 41,017 vehicles were newly registered by Creta in 2017 by December 27.

The second generation of the compact SUV made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2019. It has been on sale in China since August 2019. The Indian market followed in March 2020.
The second generation shares the platform with the Kia Seltos , also introduced in 2019 .
