The Hyundai Super Truck was a medium-duty truck that Hyundai produced from October 1997 as the successor to the Hyundai Heavy Truck . Many parts came from the previous model, which was a badge engineering model from Mitsubishi Fuso . As an engine, Hyundai installed its own Q diesel engine with direct injection and 380 hp, which largely corresponded to an engine from Mitsubishi Fuso. Power was transmitted by means of a 6-speed manual transmission . The Super Truck was available with the drive formulas 4 × 2, 6 × 4, 8 × 4 and 10 × 4 and, in addition to a tractor unit and chassis for bodies, also as a tipper vehicle. In 2000, the Q engine was replaced by the Powertec diesel engine developed by Hyundai itself with common rail injection and the same output of 380 hp. A 440 hp variant followed in 2002, and a 12-speed Astronic automatic transmission from ZF Friedrichshafen was available.

In May 2004 the Super Truck was replaced by the Hyundai New Power Truck and Hyundai Mega Truck .
