The Chevrolet Spin is a van from the automobile manufacturer General Motors do Brasil that has been available since 2012.
Model history
The vehicle has been available since mid-2012. The model variant Activ was presented in 2014 at the Salão Internacional do Automóvel de São Paulo . In 2018, the vehicle for Latin American markets received a facelift.
Positioning and equipment
It was developed by GM do Brasil as a successor to the Chevrolet Meriva based on GM's Gamma II - platform developed and is equipped with the second generation of the Chevrolet Cobalt related. It is mainly offered in emerging markets. Depending on the market, it is available in the equipment variants LS (standard), LT , LTZ (comfort) and Activ ( off-road equipment).
Engines
The vehicle is powered by a 1.2-l, 1.5-l or 1.8-l petrol engine or a 1.3-l diesel engine. The 1.2-l petrol engines in Indonesia have a maximum output of 63 kW, the 1.5-l petrol engines a maximum output of 78 kW and the 1.3-l diesel engines a maximum output of 55 kW.
It is available as a five- and seven-seater, replacing the larger Chevrolet Zafira in these markets .
