The Chevrolet Bison - also sold as the GMC General - was a heavy truck that General Motors manufactured between the 1977 and 1988 model years. Both models were hooded trucks.
There were diesel engines from Caterpillar , Cummins, and Detroit Diesel to choose from.
The GMC version was more common than Chevrolet's.
Trivia
A GMC general was in the 1980 film The Boiled Rascal Is Back On The Move and in the series Knight Rider , which was produced from 1982 to 1986.
