Vaidota's antanaitis
Vaidotas Antanaitis ( Russian Вайдотас Антанайтис ; born August 27, 1928 at the Anitava farm, Vadokliai municipality , Panevėžys district ; † July 14, 2018 ) was a Lithuanian forest scientist , politician (forestry minister ) and ambassador of his country. He was also a professor and an honorary doctorate from the Aleksandras Stulginskis University .
Life
From 1935 to 1940 Antanaitis attended the Panevėžys First Elementary School and from 1945 to 1947 the Ninth Middle School Kaunas . After graduating from high school, he studied at Vilnius University from 1947 to 1949 and graduated from the Academy of Forestry in Leningrad in 1952 . From 1954 to 1957 Antanaitis continued his education with an aspirantur at the University of Forest Technology in Moscow and from 1966 to 1969 with an aspirantur at the Agricultural Academy of Lithuania and obtained his doctorate.
From 1952 to 1954 Antanaitis was an engineer in the company "Forest Project Moscow", and from 1957 to 1960 chief engineer in Lietuvos miško projektas ("Forest Project of Lithuania"). From 1959 to 1989 and from 1993 to 1994 he taught at the Lithuanian Agricultural Academy and was professor from 1974 to 1989 and professor from 1972. He researched in the field of profitability . He then received an honorary doctorate from the Lithuanian Agricultural Academy.
From 1988 to 1990 Antanaitis was a member of the council of " Sąjūdis ", 1989 to 1990 member of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union , 1990 to 1992 Forestry Minister of Lithuania and 1992 to 1993 Ambassador of Lithuania to Germany . From 1996 to 1998 Antanaitis headed the Lithuanian Forest Association as president , 1997/1998 the conservative nationalist political party Lietuvių tautininkų sąjunga ("Union of Lithuanian Nationalists") and from 1997 Lietuvos pilietinės santalka .
Vaidotas Antanaitis was married. He had a son with his wife Rymantė (1956-1994).
