Štefan Smelko
Štefan Šmelko (* 1930 ) is a Slovak specialist in forest biometrics , wood metrology and yield science.
Life
Šmelko was a lecturer in forest biometrics , wood metrology and yield science at the Technical University of Zvolen , Slovakia and a corresponding member of the Czechoslovak Agricultural Academy and since 1986 deputy of the IUFRO specialist group “Forest Inventory and Remote Sensing”. Together with Günter Wenk , Tharandt and Vaidotas Antanaitis , Kaunas, he published the forest yield theory for the German Agricultural Publishing House in Berlin in 1990 .
