history
In 1946 the predecessor company "Bayerischer Landwirtschaftsverlag" was founded. The publishing house initially placed the domestic agriculture at the center of its work. In the years that followed, the program was expanded to include the subject of nature, which also increased the scope of action beyond Bavaria's borders. In 1995 the VEB-Verlag "Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag" based in Berlin was taken over. In 2001, BLV Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Munich, and Landbuch Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Hanover, bundled their magazine activities and founded what is now Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag GmbH, based in Hanover.
