The agricultural technology magazine Traction ( original spelling traction ) is a bimonthly trade magazine on the subject of agricultural technology . The publisher is Deutsche Landwirtschaftsverlag , which specializes in agricultural issues . The focus is on agricultural engineering and process engineering for foreign trade. The distribution area mainly includes Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Tyrol.
The magazine publishes test reports on new machines including the DLG PowerMix for tractors and tractors, technology and trend reports , comprehensive market overviews, used features and international reports, practical voices as well as a hobby area with reports on youngtimers or field days and other events with historical agricultural technology. The editions are archived in the journal database of the German National Library. The magazine is aimed at professionally interested readers from the fields of agriculture , contractors , transport and scientists in the fields of agricultural engineering and agricultural sciences . In June 2018 the first traction special issue “Process engineering for soil cultivation and sowing” was published with 226 pages.
Traction was in 2015 by the Association German trade press for trade magazine of the year in the category Best reestablishment excellent. The trade magazine has a sold circulation of 26,181 copies ( IVW 1/2017) and thus ranks second among agricultural technology magazines in German-speaking countries.
