The Isuzu TF is a series of pickups that was manufactured by GM from 1988 to 2002 and sold worldwide. It was based on the Isuzu Faster TF. In North America it was offered as an Isuzu pickup until 1996 and was replaced by the Isuzu Hombre .

Isuzu TF under a different name in various markets

The Isuzu TF was sold under different names in many countries. These were among others:

In 1997 the car received a significant facelift for the 1998 model year. The front looked a bit rounded and was similar to that of the Amigo between 1995 and 1997, which was sold in the USA as the Isuzu Rodeo station wagon. Airbags for the driver and front passenger were available on request .

The new TF had a new equipment variant, LT Sport , available only for the all-wheel drive model and the double cab . The 2.6 l engine gave way to a 3.2 l V6 with 190 bhp (140 kW), which was also used in the Trooper and Amigo in a higher power level . This new engine was available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. Both versions had the same chassis and the same ground clearance. This version became known as the "higher rear-wheel drive variant" and later there were such versions of the Mitsubishi L200 , the Ford Courier and the Mazda Bravo . For the 2002 model year, the TF received a new turbodiesel engine with 3.0 l displacement and an output of 130 bhp (96 kW), which was equipped with direct injection and a charge air cooler. This machine was also offered in the Trooper before . There were also minor changes to the styling, such as a modified radiator grille and clear indicator covers.

At the end of 2002 the production of the TF was stopped and the D-Max replaced the model series worldwide.
