The DS 7 Crossback is an SUV from the DS Automobiles brand belonging to the French PSA group .
Model history
The vehicle was presented for the first time on February 28, 2017, and it had its public premiere at the 87th Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. Since then, the five-seater has been available to order, but the first vehicles were not delivered until January 2018.
Like the Opel Grandland X , the Peugeot 5008 II or the Citroën C5 Aircross , the SUV is based on the PSA Group's EMP2 platform. It is built in France and China . The DS 7 Crossback is the brand's second SUV after the DS 6 and the first to be sold in Europe.
Technical specifications
The DS 7 Crossback was initially available with a gasoline engine in two power levels and two diesel engines in two power levels. In October 2018, the 221 kW (300 PS) plug-in hybrid version DS7 Crossback E-Tense was presented at the Paris Motor Show. It was initially sold in France and Switzerland from March 2019. It has also been available in Germany since July 2019. A weaker plug-in hybrid followed in 2020.
The La Première edition, which can be ordered between March 7, 2017 and December 31, 2017, was only available with the two most powerful drives.

Registration numbers
As early as 2017, 31 DS7 Crossbacks - all of them with diesel engines - were newly registered in Germany, although the vehicle was not yet officially available. In 2018 there were 1,412 vehicles. 983 of them were diesel-powered. In 2019, 809 of 1,435 vehicles were diesel-powered. The E-Tense also accounted for 14 models.
Trivia
For his inauguration on May 14, 2017, French President Emmanuel Macron chose the DS7 Crossback as his presidential vehicle.
