The Buick Excelle is a compact class passenger car from the American car manufacturer Buick , which was sold in the People's Republic of China between 2003 and 2016 and since 2018 .

The first generation of the Excelle was sold in China between 2003 and 2016. The vehicle is a Chevrolet Nubira with the Buick logo. In 2012 the vehicle received a revision. A 1.5-liter four-cylinder in-line petrol engine with a maximum output of 83 kW (113 hp) takes over the drive. As a sedan, the vehicle was built parallel to the second generation and the Buick Verano .

A new generation of the Excelle was presented in May 2018 and introduced in China on June 22, 2018. It replaces the Excelle, which was discontinued in 2016, based on the Chevrolet Nubira. The vehicle is based on GM's GEM platform .

Since its market launch, the only engine available for the vehicle is a 1.3-liter in-line three-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum output of 79 kW. The engine power is transmitted to the front wheels either via a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) .
