Anja Kohl (born July 27, 1970 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German journalist and television presenter . She works for the stock exchange editorial office of the Hessischer Rundfunk .

Life

Anja Kohl was born and raised in Aschaffenburg. After graduating from the Julius-Echter-Gymnasium in Elsenfeld in 1990 , Anja Kohl studied German , journalism and political science in Bamberg , Mainz and Baltimore . She has been reporting for ARD since September 2001 . She is one of the faces of the show Börse vor eight in the evening program of the first and reports for the topics of the day . She previously reported in the ARD television news programs Tagesschau , ARD morning magazineand ARD-Mittagsmagazin . She worked for Bloomberg TV , n-tv and in the ZDF editorial team WISO .

Outside employment

On October 11, 2008, Kohl appeared as a financial expert in the WDR comedy Dittsche . In 2009 she played a television journalist in the ARD television film Frau Böhm says No with Senta Berger in the leading role.

On January 9, 2010, she gave a laudation for the Kastelruther Spatzen at the Krone der Volksmusik .

Anja Kohl has been a member of the World Vision Germany Board of Trustees since January 2010, to which the members say they contribute their experience and advise the Presidium on general issues.

A report by the NDR media magazine Zapp in 2009, which was picked up and supplemented by other media, criticized Anja Kohl's extensive secondary employment with banks and industry with regard to the independence of journalistic work on public television .

According to HR spokesman Tobias Häuser, Kohl informed her employer about the activities. Since she is a freelancer at Hessischer Rundfunk, she does not have to have her secondary employment approved. In the Süddeutsche Zeitung of June 20, 2009, houses spoke of a “debate about envy”.

Because of her special way of speaking and the style of moderation in her reports, in which she regularly includes proverbs and sayings related to stock market events, Anja Kohl has been parodied by Martina Hill on the television program Switch Reloaded since 2008 .
