The Neuberzdorfer Höhe lookout tower is a lookout tower built in 2007-2008 in the municipality of Schönau-Berzdorf on the Eigen in the Görlitz district in Saxony . The inauguration of the tower took place on June 28, 2008. The tower is located on a hill west of the Berzdorfer See , which is named after the former mining settlement of Neuberzdorf . The reinforced concrete structure is 26 meters high, with the viewing platforms 19 and 21 meters high. The base of the tower is 2.9 by 5.5 meters. The two platforms have a footprint of 2.7 by 3.8 meters. They can be reached via an eleven-part staircase with a total of 121 steps.

From the platforms you have a view of the nearby Berzdorfer See and the wider area with the Lusatian Mountains , Jizera Mountains , Giant Mountains and Zittau Mountains .

Climbing the tower is free.

Six solar modules with a peak output of 1.37 kW are installed on the tower, which enable the tower (lighting system) to be supplied with electricity on sunny days. Excess energy is charged in an energy store. There is also a privately operated webcam on the tower, which can be accessed at www.berzdorferseeblick.de.
