Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council
The Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) is the state umbrella organization in Australia that is responsible for the fight against bushfires, the emergency organization and the agencies of the national administration in Australia and New Zealand .
It was founded in 1993 and has 26 full and 11 affiliated members.
The organization has been running an AFAC Knowledge Web since September 1st . This is a website for AFAC members, selected research partners and the associated industry that provides reports on bushfires, case studies and specialist articles.
