The Eldon River is a river in the western part of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
The river has its source in the eastern part of the Eldon Range on the southwest corner of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park and initially flows to the northwest. It then describes a semicircle around the mountains and finally flows south on the western edge of the national park, where it forms the King River at the northern tip of Lake Burbury together with the South Eldon River .
