content

The two filmmakers have traveled 22,000 kilometers across the continent, documented every day with the camera and give an insight into all regions of Australia.

The journey begins in Perth, goes up the west coast to Darwin, via Alice Springs in the Red Center to tropical Cairns and from there south via Sydney and Melbourne to Adelaide. The two also made a detour to the original Tasmania. The result is a mixture of personal experiences, nature documentation and travel guides.

Stages of the journey

The journey starts in Perth in mid-September and goes up to Darwin. There the two fly to the Red Center and have until just before Christmas to drive from Cairns via Sydney and Melbourne to Adelaide. You will also make a detour to Tasmania.

The first stage leads over Shark Bay, Monkey Mia, Coral Bay and Exmouth to Ningaloo Reef, via Tom Price, Kalbarri and Marble Bar to Broome.

Then it goes on over Cape Leveque and Derby, from Kununurra they drive a piece of Gibb River Road, they fly to the Bungle Bungles, visit a cattle farm in the outback and over the Kakadu and Litchfield National Park to Darwin.

Red Center: in Palm Valley to Kings Canyon, Uluru, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta, the Olgas and Alice Springs.

From there they drive north to Cairns, dive the Great Barrier Reef, mine Sapphire in the outback and make a detour from Hervey Bay to Lady Elliot Island and Fraser Island. From there we continue along the Sunshine Coast to Noosa Heads.

Past Brisbane they visit Surfers Paradise, Byron Bay and the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie. You wander around Sydney for a few days. Over the Blue Mountains to the capital Canberra. You climb the highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko, and drive to Melbourne.

You make a detour to Tasmania to Wineglass Bay, Strahan and Hobart, drive on the Great Ocean Road past Cape Otway and the Twelve Apostles to Kingston, to the Barossa Valley wine region, with the ferry to Kangaroo Island until you finally arrive in Adelaide.
