Autillus is an association of children and young people's book creators based in Zurich . This was founded in 1996 by a number of children and young people's book authors (including Regine Schindler and Ingeborg Rotach.). The founding meeting took place in Bern on June 12, 1996. instead of.
The association had its first appearance at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 1998, where the association and the Swiss Institute for Children's and Youth Media launched a competition for illustrators. The association now has over 140 members from all over Switzerland. About half each are authors and half illustrators, including comics, who work professionally in the field of children's and youth literature.
aims
On the one hand, the association would like to support the promotion of children's and youth literature and to represent the interests of cultural workers in the field of children's and youth media. On the other hand, the association is intended to promote a common outward appearance and exchange among members as well as cooperation with other institutions. The association regularly takes part in book fairs in Switzerland and abroad, where members' publications are presented.

The board consists of four members who are elected at the general meeting. As of 2020, Karin Bachmann , Diego Balli, Daniel Reichenbach and Stephan Sigg belong to the board. The general meeting takes place once a year.
