Stephan Sigg
Stephan Sigg (born October 22, 1983 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss Roman Catholic theologian , author and publisher .
Life
Stephan Sigg spent his childhood and youth in Rheineck . After graduating from the Heerbrugg Cantonal School , he studied Catholic theology at the Chur Theological University .
He has been writing since primary school. Since 2002 he has published books for children, adolescents and adults and works as a journalist. He regularly gives readings throughout the German-speaking area and coaches children, young people and adults in creative writing. He is a member of Autillus, the association of Swiss children's and young adult booksellers, and was elected to the board in 2013.
Since 2011 he has also performed with Sabrina Sauder, a singer from Eastern Switzerland. In December 2012 they were on tour with the concert / reading program The most beautiful Christmas tree in Switzerland. As a duo, the two have already written and composed German-language songs. Sigg is committed to " fair trade ", several of his children's books deal with the idea of a "fair economy".
In 2014 he was awarded the prix.eco.swisscanto in the category “Generation Future” in Basel .
In 2016 he founded the publishing house “ da bux ” with Alice Gabathuler and Tom Zai in Buchs .
