Job of an automobile salesman

The qualification of the automobile salesman , in contrast to the apprenticeship as an automobile salesman , is a further professional development for mostly commercial and vehicle technology- oriented professional groups. The car salesman provides customers with advice and technical support when buying a vehicle in car dealerships or specialist shops for other vehicles. In the meantime, the German automobile manufacturers and importers, with the assistance of the Central Association of the German Motor Vehicle Industry (ZDK), have created the "Certified Automobile Seller" training course. The training, which lasts at least six months, is intended to ensure a certain quality and standard of training for the sales staff with training courses and seminars during the operating phases. Individual automobile manufacturers have linked their own manufacturer standards to this part-time training.

Certified automobile seller

In addition to product information on the vehicles, a car salesman must have knowledge of environmental protection, traffic safety and alternative drives. This requires optimal industry knowledge and the ability to explain comprehensive facts to the customer in an understandable manner. This is achieved through a high willingness to communicate and a good understanding of technical issues. The advanced training to become a certified automobile seller does not require any specific previous training. An applicant who has already successfully completed an apprenticeship as an automotive salesman is particularly suitable. The training is carried out exclusively by manufacturers / dealers in the automotive industry, there are no other providers.
