history
The place was witnessed for the first time in 1265 in a deed as "Gotelndorf apud Lewenrode" in which Wolfram von Dornberg the monastery Heilsbronn an estate bequeathed. The addition "apud Lewenrode" (near Leonrod ) probably served to distinguish it from the nearby Göddeldorf . The defining word of the place name is the personal name Godilo, which is to be assumed as the founder of the place.
Götteldorf had a single-class elementary school since 1625, the first teacher of which was Hans Neubronner. In 1954 a new schoolhouse was built. A little later the school was closed. In 1650, Austrian religious refugees came and helped rebuild the Götteldorf village, which had been affected by the Thirty Years' War.
At the end of the 18th century there were 24 properties in Götteldorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Ansbach court box office in Brandenburg-Ansbach . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office in Dietenhofen . The landlords were the Principality of Bayreuth (Dietenhofen box office: 6 goods, 1 tavern , 1 forge, 1 empty house ; Neuhof box office : 1 estate; Götteldorf church : 4 goods), the Neudorf estate of the Lords of Leonrod (1 courtyard, 5 half-yards, 1 estate ), the state charity office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (1 yard, 1 estate) and the Nuremberg owner of Oelhafen (1 estate). In addition to the property, there was also the church and communal buildings (school house, tithe barn, shepherd's house, crushing house ). At that time there were 20 subject families. From 1797 to 1806 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Ansbach .
In 1806 Götteldorf came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict, Götteldorf was assigned to the Unterbibert tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Unternbibert, founded in 1811 . With the second community edict (1818), the rural community of Götteldorf was formed, to which Methlach and Ziegelhütte belonged. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the district court of Ansbach and the financial administration of the Ansbach Rent Office ( renamed the Ansbach Tax Office in 1920 ).
In 1833, Götteldorf, Sondernohe , Unternbibert and Virnsberg applied for a move to the Markt Erlbach regional court , but this was rejected. From 1862 on, Götteldorf was administered by the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Ansbach until 1870, 1870-1879 city and district court Ansbach , since 1880 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 5,954 km². As part of the regional reform , Götteldorf was incorporated into Dietenhofen on May 1, 1978.
