history
Neudorf was first mentioned in a document in 1297 as "Nuwendorfelin". According to the defining word of the place name (“New”), it is a late settlement that must have arisen around this time. Since 1398 Neudorf belonged to the Leonrod rule . The von Leonrod family built a chapel and a tithe barn , among other things . After the Leonroders tried in vain to hold a Catholic service in Neudorf again in the 17th century, the chapel was used as a granary and later converted into a residential building. In 1887 the house was partially demolished and converted into a barn in 1952. A corner of the wall of the old chapel was preserved.
In 1718 there were six subject families from Brandenburg-Bayreuth .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were twelve households in Neudorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The village and township government had the box office Dietenhofen held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Dietenhofen (1 inn, 2 courtyards, 1 half yard, 3 estates, 1 drip house , 1 half sheep farm) and the manor Neudorf (1 meier farm, 1 half farm, 1 half sheep farm.)At that time, the Neudorf manor belonged to the Barons von Leonrod and was controlled by the knight canton of Altmühl . In addition to the three properties in Neudorf, it was also the landlord in Adelmannsdorf (three properties), Dietenhofen (two), Ebersdorf (three), Götteldorf (seven), Hornsegen (five), Lenkersheim (one), Leonrod (one), Muggenhof (five ), Neuses (one), Vincenzenbronn (two) and Zautendorf (ten).
From 1797 to 1810 Neudorf was subordinate to the Market Erlbach Justice Office and the Neuhof Chamber of Commerce . In 1810 the place came into the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Hirschneuse tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community of Hirschneuses was formed, to which Neudorf also belonged. With the Second Community Edict (1818), Neudorf split up with Dietenholz , Neudietenholz and Walburgswinden and formed an independent rural community. It was subordinate to the regional court of Markt Erlbach in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ipsheim Rent Office in the financial administration . Until 1833, three properties were under the Neudorf patrimonial court. From 1862 Neudorf was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Fürth tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 5,830 km².
With the municipal reform , the municipality was incorporated into the Dietenhofen market on January 1, 1972.
