Frickendorf (colloquial pronunciation: Friggedorf ) is a district of the market Dietenhofen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The village lies on the Bibert and the Frickendorfer Graben, which flows there as a right tributary. Andorf is immediately to the east . Approx. The Schellenberg rises 0.5 km to the north .
history
The place was first mentioned by name in 1342 as "Frickendorf". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Fricko, who was probably also the founder of the settlement. There is a burial complex near the place, which may be a Slavic grave from the 9th century.
Originally, the place was under the Nuremberg burgrave Johann II and Albrecht the fair . In 1342 they sold some goods to the Heilsbronn Monastery in Frickendorf, of which it is said that three properties were inhabited during the Thirty Years' War .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were seven properties in Frickendorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Ansbach court box office in Brandenburg-Ansbach . The village and community rulership changed annually between the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Dietenhofen , the caste office Neuhof and the manor Rügland of the Lords of Crailsheim . The landlords were the Principality of Bayreuth (Kastenamt Dietenhofen: 1 yard, 1 estate, 1 Gütlein; Kastenamt Neuhof: 1 Halbhof, 1 Gut) and the manor Rügland (2 estates). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .
As part of the municipal edict, Frickendorf was assigned to the Unterbibert tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Unternbibert, founded in 1811 . This was dissolved on January 1, 1977 in the course of the regional reform and, except for Frickendorf, incorporated into Rügland . Frickendorf was incorporated into Dietenhofen.
