geography

The parish village is located on the Bibert . Approx. 0.5 km west of the village, the Buchbächlein flow into the Bibert as the right and the Fladengreuther Graben as the left tributary. Immediately to the south of the village flows the Stockheimer Bach, a right tributary of the Bibert. In the north lies the Weinskershölzl, in the southwest the Flur Vockenloch, approx. 0.75 km south of the Rüglander Berg ( 445  m above sea level ).

The district road AN 24 leads to Obernbibert (2 km west) or past the Untere Mühle to Frickendorf to state road 2255 (2 km east). Municipal roads lead to State Road 2245 (1.1 km north), to Stockheim (1.5 km south-west) and to Fladengreuth (1.5 km north-west).

history

A traditional document from the year 810 indicates that Unternbibert was founded in the early Middle Ages. In this document, which a Count Ekkipert presented to the Salvatorkloster Spalt , the place is mentioned for the first time as "Piparodi". The place name is derived from the river name of the same name. Its meaning is unclear, but was later associated with the beaver , as can be seen, for example, from the coat of arms of Unterbibert .

At the beginning of the 15th century, the St. Barbara Church was built, which was originally a branch of St. Laurentius (Flachslanden) . Since 1441 St. Barbara was an independent parish. With the Reformation the patronage was changed to the Apostle Bartholomäus.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 33 properties in Unterstbibert with the lower and outer mills. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . The rulership of the village and community was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Unterstbibert and the manor Rügland of the Lords of Crailsheim . The landlords were the Vogtamt Unterstbibert (17 properties: 3 farms, 5 estates, 1 estate with baking rights, 2 estates, 2 mills, 1 forge, 1 tavern , 2 empty houses ), the Rügland manor (15 estates: 7 estates, 1 estate with bathing rights , 1 estate with baking rights, 1 tavern, 5 empty houses) and the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Dietenhofen (1 estate). In addition to these properties, there were stately (office, tithe barn), ecclesiastical (church, parish) and communal buildings (school, shepherd's house, crushing house ). At that time there were 32 subject families, of which 18 12 were Ansbachian. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

In 1806 Unternbibert came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, the Unterbibert tax district was formed in 1808 , to which Äußere Mühle , Frickendorf , Götteldorf , Methlach , Stockheim and Untere Mühle belonged. The rural community Unternbibert was founded in 1811 and was congruent with the tax district. It was subordinate to the Ansbach Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ansbach Rent Office ( renamed Ansbach Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1820 to 1848, 14 properties in Unternbibert were subject to the Rügland Patrimonial Court in voluntary jurisdiction .

With the second community edict (1818) Obernbibert was changed from Virnsberg to Unternbibert, while Götteldorf with Methlach broke away from Unterstbibert and formed its own rural community. On October 1, 1821, the towns of Daubersbach , Fladengreuth and Kräft were approved to be changed from Buch to Unternbibert. In 1833, Götteldorf, Sondernohe , Unternbibert and Virnsberg applied for a move to the Markt Erlbach regional court , but this was rejected. From 1862 on, Unternbibert was administered by the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Ansbach until 1870, 1870-1879 city and district court Ansbach , since 1880 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 16,064 km².

The Bibert Valley Railway , which connected the place with Nuremberg from 1915, was of particular importance . After the Second World War , around 200 displaced people came to Unternbibert. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , Unternbibert was incorporated into Rügland on January 1, 1977. However, the district of Frickendorf came to the Dietenhofen market .
