Obermühle is a former part of the municipality of Rügland in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia . After 1885 the mill is no longer run as a district. Today it is house number 17 on Ruppersdorfer Straße.

geography

The former wasteland lies on the Mettlachbach, which is a left tributary of the Haselbach , which in turn is a right tributary of the Bibert . The Obere Wiese corridor area borders in the south and the Mühlbuck rises in the north. Approx. 1 km southwest is the Hohe Berg ( 459  m above sea level ).

history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the upper mill belonged to Rügland. The mill had the manor Rügland of the Lords of Crailsheim as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the upper mill was given house number 57 in Rügland. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Obermühle was assigned to the Rügland tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Rügland, founded in 1811 .
