The Fladengreuther Graben, which is a left tributary of the Bibert , rises in the hamlet . Approx. 0.5 km to the southeast lies the Weinskershölzl , approximately 0.5 km to the north lies the Bergholz . A community road leads to State Road 2245 (0.5 km northwest) or to Unterbibert to the district road AN 24 (1.5 km southeast).
history
The place was first mentioned by name in 1340 as "Ruetlin". So it was a settlement made possible by clearing the forest. It was not until 1505 that the form "Fladengerewt" was attested, probably in order to better distinguish the place from other similarly sounding places - about 8 km further north located Wilhelmsgreuth and Jobstgreuth . The defining word "flatbread" refers to the flat plane.
Towards the end of the 18th century, Fladengreuth consisted of two courtyards and a community shepherd's house. The Obervogteiamt Virnsberg exercised the high court , the village and community rulership and the lordship over both properties .
As part of the community edict, Fladengreuth was assigned to the Buch tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Buch, founded in 1811 . On October 1, 1821, Fladengreuth was re-congregated with Daubersbach and forces to Unternbibert . On January 1, 1977, the community of Unternbibert was incorporated into Rügland as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
