history

It can be assumed that Stockheim, like the other places in this area that end with -heim (e.g. Görgsheim and Sauernheim ), was founded by Franconian settlers in the 8th century. The place was first mentioned by name in 1250 as "Stockheim" with the meaning of a place to live in the fields that had been dug out . So it is an area that was won by clearing.

The Augustinian ceremony in Würzburg and Magister Johannes von Karlstadt († 1413) bought a gradient for 80 talents in Stockheim in the 14th century, including the seven existing properties, and donated it to Heilsbronn Monastery . During the Thirty Years War, the place was largely spared.

Towards the end of the 18th century, there were eight properties and a community shepherd's house in Stockheim. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Ansbach court box office in Brandenburg-Ansbach . The village and community rulership was held by the Neuhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The landlords were the Kastenamt Neuhof (2 courtyards, 1 three-quarter courtyard, 3 estates, 1 empty building ) and the manor Rügland of the Lords of Crailsheim (1 estate). At that time there were 7 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Stockheim was assigned to the Unterbibert tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Unternbibert, founded in 1811 . In voluntary jurisdiction, a property was subject to the Rügland Patrimonial Court from 1820 to 1848 .

In the course of the regional reform , Stockheim was incorporated into Rügland on January 1, 1977.
