history

In 1242 the place was first mentioned as "Zu der Eben". In this document, Ludwig and Albert von der Hohenlohe sealed the handover of their goods in this and other places to Heilsbronn Monastery . In 1395, the monastery bought three days of meadow work and ran a sheep farm there. During the Thirty Years' War the court came to the heirs of Count Heinrich von Solms , but it was still deserted in the chaos of war. The property then came into the possession of the Lords of Crailsheim .

Towards the end of the 18th century there was an estate in Ebenhof. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . The Ganzhof had the manor Rügland of the Lords of Crailsheim as landlord . In the geographical, statistical-topographical lexicon of Franconia (1799) - probably incorrectly - the Teutonic Order Coming Virnsberg is given as the landlord of the property . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Ebenhof was assigned to the Rügland tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Rügland, founded in 1811 . From 1820 to 1848, the property was subject to the Rügland Patrimonial Court in voluntary jurisdiction .
