history

The place was first mentioned by name in a deed of sale in 1242 as "Rupoldesdorf" (meaning of the name: Zum Dorf des Rupold ). This confirms that the Heilsbronn monastery had acquired Hohenlohe goods in the place . In 1308 the monastery bought fields from Ramungus von Vestenberg . During the Thirty Years War , all nine of the Heilsbronn estates that existed at that time were deserted.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were nine properties in Ruppersdorf (6 estates, 1 mill, 2 empty houses ). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Ansbach court box office in Brandenburg-Ansbach . The Neuhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth was in charge of village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties . In addition to these properties there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). There were eight subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Ruppersdorf was assigned to the Flachslanden tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Flachslanden, founded in 1811 . On August 24, 1830, Ruppersdorf was changed to the newly formed municipality of Kettenhöfstetten . In the course of the regional reform , this was incorporated into the Flachslanden market on January 1, 1972.
