Rohrmühle (colloquially: Rōrmîl ) is a district of the Flachslanden market in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Franconian Rezat . South of the village, the Vogelbach and Sulzbach flow as right tributaries into the Rezat. About one and a half kilometers east in the Birkenfels forest rises the Heßberg ( 489  m above sea level ), about half a kilometer northwest is the Hochholz .

A community road leads to State Road 2253 (0.4 km north) or to Oberheßbach on the B 13 (1.3 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1503 as "Roermüll". The place name means to the mill at the reed .

Towards the end of the 18th century, the tube mill belonged to cellars . The mill had the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Birkenfels as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the tube mill was given house number 5 in the village of Kellern. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, the pipe mill was assigned to the Flachslanden tax district formed in 1808 . This also belonged to the rural community Flachslanden founded in 1811 .

The place has been Protestant since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Laurentius (Flachslanden) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to St. Dionysius (Virnsberg) .
