history

In the meantime, the settlement was combined as a single farm and referred to as "Wippenauhoff" (1732). Only after 1900 the official name of the place was again Wippenau. In the vernacular pronunciation of “Zum Wippenauhof”, the “Midlmāhof”, which is used today, emerged through blurring.

The monastery Heilsbronn had at least four goods in in the first half of the 14th century.

Towards the end of the 18th century, Wippenau consisted of two whole courtyards. The high court exercised the Obervogteiamt Virnsberg . The Teutonic Order Coming Virnsberg held the village and community rulership and the lordship over both properties .

As part of the municipal edict, Wippenau was assigned to the Flachslanden tax district formed in 1808 . This also belonged to the rural community Flachslanden founded in 1811 .
