history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1398 as "Ebersdorff". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Eberhard , who can be seen as the founder of the settlement. In this it is confirmed that the Nuremberg burgrave Johann III. Jörg and Wilhelm Schenken von Stein awarded an estate. In 1423 the place was mentioned in a document as "Eberhartsdorff", in which the Margrave Friedrich I handed over a farm to the brothers Berthold, Jörg and Sebastian Volkmayer. In addition to the Hohenzollerns , the lords of Leonrod and the imperial city of Nuremberg were later wealthy.

At the end of the 18th century there were 14 properties in Ebersdorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The village and township government had the box office Dietenhofen held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Dietenhofen (1 Höflein, 2 Halbhöflein, 2 estates, 1 drip house , 1 house, 1 mill ), the State Alms Office of the Imperial City of Nuremberg (2 estates), the Neudorf manor (1 courtyard, 2 half courtyards) and a Mr. Hofmann Ammerndorf (1 good). From 1797 to 1810 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Markt Erlbach and Chamber Office Neuhof .

In 1810 Ebersdorf came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Dietenhofen tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Ebersdorf was formed, to which Andorf , Leonrod and Stolzmühle also belonged. With the second community edict (1818) Leonrod broke up and formed an independent rural community. The administration and jurisdiction of the municipality of Ebersdorf was subordinate to the Markt Erlbach regional court and the Ipsheim rent office for financial administration . Until 1833, three properties were under the Neudorf patrimonial court . Another property was under the patrimonial court of Rügland of the Barons of Crailsheim until 1848. From 1862 Ebersdorf was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach Rent Office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Fürth tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 6.009 km².

On July 1, 1969, before the regional reform in Bavaria , they were incorporated into Dietenhofen.
