history
The place was first mentioned in 1109 as "Lendrichsdorf". This document confirms that the collegiate monastery St. Jakob zu Bamberg had a hatch with all uses there. In 1249 a bull from Pope Innocent IV confirmed that Heilsbronn Monastery had acquired four properties there. Three of the four Heilsbronn courtyards were deserted during the Thirty Years' War .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were five properties in Lentersdorf (3 half courtyards, 1 little house, 1 shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The Neuhof caste office held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties . From 1797 to 1810 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Markt Erlbach and Chamber Office Neuhof .
In 1810 Lentersdorf became part of the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Dietenhofen tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Seubersdorf was formed, to which Lentersdorf also belonged. With the second community edict (1818), the reorganization into the newly formed rural community Herpersdorf took place . On January 1, 1970, before the regional reform in Bavaria , it was incorporated into Dietenhofen.
There are three farms operated by full-time farmers in Lentersdorf.
