history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1281 as "Wartsuelde". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Warto , which is probably also the name of the founder of this settlement. The field names "Burkwiese" and "Burgwieslein" refer to a fortress that was built strategically on a hill in the 10th century. The Mauritius Church was later built in its place .

In the 16-point reporting the Oberamt Ansbach 1684 13 teams were registered for Warzfelden: 7/2 yards, three goods and one Gütlein had the Hofkastenamt Ansbach as a landlord , a property the pen Office Ansbach and an estate the lords of Leonrod . The high court and village and community rulership was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach. In 1689 a teacher was first listed in Warzfelden. The school was in use until 1978.

At the end of the 18th century there were 15 properties in Warzfelden. The court box office in Ansbach continued to exercise the high court and the village and community rule. The Principality of Ansbach (Hofkastenamt Ansbach: 6 half-yards, 4 estates, 1 tavern , 1 mill, 1 forge estate , 1 drip house ; Ansbach Abbey: 1 Söldengut ) as landlord. In addition to the property, there was also the church and communal buildings (schoolhouse, shepherd's house, crushing house ). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Warzfelden was assigned to the Kleinhaslach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Kleinhaslach, founded in 1811 . A request from 1824 to form a political municipality in Warzfelden, to which Adelmannsdorf , Höfen and Rüdern should belong, was rejected. With the incorporation of Kleinhaslach on July 1, 1972 in the course of the regional reform , Warzfelden became part of the municipality of Dietenhofen.
