Aventinus Silvius

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aventinus Silvius is a descendant of Aeneas and the twelfth king of Alba Longa in Roman mythology .

His predecessor was Romulus Silvius . He ruled for 37 years. If one uses the reigns given by Dionysius of Halicarnassus with a back calculation from the traditional year of the founding of Rome , this corresponds to the years 856 to 819 BC. The Aventine Hill in Rome is said to be named after him. His successor was Proca .
