Axel Ljung
Axel Ljung , full name: Harald Axel Fredrik Ljung , (born March 31, 1884 in Stockholm , † February 5, 1938 ibid) was a Swedish athlete and gymnast .
At the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 , he was fifth in the standing long jump . In the 100-meter run he reached the semifinals, in the 110-meter hurdles he was eliminated in the preliminary round.
In 1908 he was part of the Swedish gymnastics team, which won gold in the team all-round match at the Olympic Games in London .
In 1905 and 1908 he was national runner-up in the 110 m hurdles, on August 30, 1908 he set a Swedish record in this discipline with 16.0 s in Oslo .
Axel Ljung started for the AIK Solna .
