Axel Nordemann (born March 12, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer and honorary professor of copyright law at the University of Konstanz .

biography

Axel Nordemann studied law in Göttingen and Munich. He received his doctorate in 1991 in Frankfurt am Main and worked from 1989 to 1993 as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich. From 1993 to 2019 he worked as a lawyer and partner in the law firm Boehmert & Boehmert. Since January 2020, Axel Nordemann has been a partner at Nordemann Czychowski & Partner Rechtsanwältinnen und Rechtsanwälte mbB in Berlin and Potsdam after splitting off his office part. His law firm specializes in intellectual property law .

Axel Nordemann comes from a family of lawyers. His father Wilhelm Nordemann is a well-known German copyright specialist who is no longer active. His brother Jan Bernd and his sister Anke Nordemann-Schiffel work in the same law firm and are also counted among the well-known lawyers in the field of intellectual property.

Axel Nordemann is a member of the specialist committee for competition and trademark law of the German Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright (GRUR).
