Ayako Tanaka

Ayako Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 彩 子 , Tanaka Ayako ; * in the prefecture of Kyoto ) is a Japanese soprano who lives in Vienna.

Life

education

Ayako Tanaka received extensive artistic training from an early age. At the age of three she began to play the piano and organ, and at the age of ten she won her first competitions in both instruments. She has lived in Vienna since her youth, where she was trained by Sylvia Geszty and Edda Moser . In 2006/07 she also received lessons from Ernst Haefliger until his death .

International concert activity

She made her debut at the age of 22 in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at the Stadttheater Bern in Switzerland. Then she was engaged at the Volksoper Vienna for the role of Olympia in the opera Les contes d'Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach . This was followed by the role of Gilda in Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto at the Burgas State Opera . In addition, she is active as a concert singer with various orchestras in Germany and abroad.

  • 2012–15 With the support of the Austrian government, Ayako Tanaka took part in an Austria-wide opera tour of Mozart's Magic Flute in the role of Queen of the Night.
  • 2012–2013 invitation to regular performances by the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra
  • In 2016/2017 she opened the season together with the Argentine National Symphony Orchestra at the Centro Cultural Kirchner (CCK) in Buenos Aires . In February 2017 she sang the world premiere of the Five Circle Songs for soprano and orchestra by Esteban Benzecry .
