Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin

Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin ( Hebrew איילת נחמיאס-ורבין* 19th June 1970 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli politician of the Labor Party . She was a member of the Knesset from 2015 to 2019 .

Life

Nahmias-Verbin studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . She then worked as a lawyer and as CEO of the Tavlit company founded by her father , which manufactures irrigation systems. Nahmias-Verbin is married and has three children.

Nahmias-Verbin joined the Israeli Labor Party ( Avoda ) in 1991 . She was an assistant and later legal advisor to Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin , who was murdered in 1995. Then she headed the organization Shalom Hawer , which is dedicated to the memory of Rabin. Nahmias-Verbin was in the parliamentary election in 2015 on the list of Zionist Union (to which the Labor Party was one) for deputies in the Knesset elected. At the end of the 2019 legislative term, she did not run for re-election.
