Ayoub Al-Hamadi

Ayoub Kassim Al-Hamadi (born September 26, 1970 in Beni-Hammad, Yemen ) is a university professor for neuro-information technology at the faculty for electrical engineering and information technology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg .

Life

Al-Hamadi graduated from high school in Yemen in 1988. From 1988 to 1989 he was a teacher at the Iben Majed Secondary School in Sanaa . He then attended a German language course at the Herder Institute in Köthen until 1990 and studied electrical engineering and automation technology at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg from 1990 to 1997 and then the subject of technical computer science, in which he received his doctorate in 2001 .

1997-2003 he was a research assistant and 2003 to 2008 research assistant at the Department Technical computer science Magdeburg University, where he joined in 2010 with the issue of progress in the analysis of moving color images under the influence of non-cooperative measurement situations habilitated . Al-Hamadi received the venia legendi for the scientific field of pattern recognition and image processing . Since September 2008 he has held the professorship for neuro-information technology at the Faculty of Electrical and Information Technology at the University of Magdeburg.

Al-Hamadi is the founder of the Islamic Community Magdeburg (IsGeMa) e. V. Magdeburg.

Al-Hamadis research are the Information Technology ( signal processing , image processing and Understand and pattern recognition), the human-computer interaction ( gesture recognition and facial expression recognition , action and event recognition, handwriting recognition ), the information fusion (ambient and situation modeling, emotion and intention detection, Driver assistance systems) and medical technology (3D measurement, facial analysis and pain detection as well as gait analysis in rehabilitation ).

Al-Hamadi has so far published over 280 articles from his research areas in numerous international scientific journals, conferences and books.
