Ayush Mahesh Khedekar (born April 5, 2000 in Mumbai ) is a young Indian actor, who became known for his role as the youngest actor of Jamal Malik in Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire (2008). For this role, he and others won the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2009 for "Best Acting Ensemble" and was nominated for "Most Promising Newcomer" at the British Independent Film Awards 2008 .

Life

Ayush comes from Bhayandar, a suburb of Mumbai , where he goes to the Ramaben Babubhai Kanakia School . He worked as an actor from an early age. He has appeared in commercials for Britannia Industries , Colgate , Kelloggs and HDFC , as well as in series such as Baa Bahoo and Baby , Kayamat and Karam Apna Apna . He also worked in the Bollywood film Family .

Career

Ayush has been acting since he was four. a. in commercials for Brittania , Colgate and Kellogs . He made his international film debut in 2008 in the film Slumdog Millionaire . His performance in the film received highly acclaimed audiences and critics, winning the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture (along with the other actors in the film) and a nomination for Best Young Actor at the 2008 British Independent Film Awards .
