Azarasi Irie ( transcription from Japanese あ ざ ら し 入 江 'Seal Bay' ) is a usually icy bay in the northwest of the East Ongul Island in the northeast section of the Lützow-Holm Bay off the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .
Japanese scientists named it on the assumption that it was a lake, in 1988 as Azarasi Ike ( Japanese あ ざ ら し 入 池 , seal pond ' ). In 1996 the name was changed to adapt to the real circumstances. Regardless of this, the bay in Norwegian is called Selvatnet in translation of the first name .
