Azevedo Marçal

Azevedo Lourenço da Costa Marçal is the head of cabinet of the East Timorese Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak .

Marçal holds a doctorate in economics and international trade, from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing .

Marçal was chief technical coordinator in the cabinet of José Luís Guterres , President of the Região Administrativa Especial de Oe-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA), who was in office until June 2020. Marçal then became advisor to the Prime Minister for Public Finance and Good Governance until he replaced Afonso Henriques Ferreira Corte-Real as head of cabinet on August 10, 2020 .
