The Azibo ( Portuguese Rio Azibo ) is a river in the region of northern Portugal that flows entirely through the Bragança district . It rises a few kilometers northeast of the city of Macedo de Cavaleiros , flows mainly in a southerly direction and finally flows into the Sabor .
It is dammed in its upper reaches by the Azibo dam to form a reservoir (Portuguese: Albufeira da Barragem do Azibo ). The dam and the reservoir are located in a protected area (port. Paisagem Protegida da Albufeira do Azibo ).
