Azotemia

As azotemia - by . Greek azoton ( nitrogen ) and haima ( blood ) - refers to the abnormal proliferation of nitrogen-containing end products of protein metabolism ( balance nitrogen ) in the blood. Mainly this is an increase in urea and creatinine , but uric acid , phenols , guanidine and amines are also increased.

  • This increase can be observed as retention azotemia, particularly in uremia .
