Azriel Auerbach
Azriel Auerbach (* 1938 in Jerusalem ; Hebrew עזריאל אוירבך) is an ultra-Orthodox rabbi and Posek . He is the son of Rabbi Schlomo Salman Auerbach and son-in-law of Joseph Schalom Elyashiv ; He was seen as the right hand of Elyashiv, who died in 2012, in matters of Halacha , Jewish law.
Auerbach was born in 1938 in the Jerusalem district of Scha'arei Chesed and married Leah Elyashiv (1938–2010), the fifth daughter of Joseph Elyashiv, in 1960; they have no offspring.
He is chairman of the rabbinical ultra-orthodox charity Vaad harabbanim .
